Renaud Loranger lives in Berlin and contributes arts coverage to the Financial Times, WFMT-Chicago, CBC Radio and La Presse. Following a three-year stint with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) under the leadership of Kent Nagano, where he oversaw publications and editorial content, he was an assistant to Patrice Chéreau on Janáček’s From the House of the Dead at the Metropolitan Opera. He is a founding member of the European Opera Think Tank, a joint initiative of Gerard Mortier and Opera Europa, which brings together young opera professionals from all over the continent. He studied Musicology, Art History and Comparative Literature in his native Montréal before working at various levels for boutique classical management agencies, most recently as Creative Consultant for LTM Artists (now the Michael Moore Agency) in Los Angeles and New York City.
